Commercial Litigation

Commercial Litigation

A Broad Range Of Disputes

Randall Love personally represents business owners and entrepreneurs in a variety of commercial disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, contract disputes, payment disputes and commercial landlord-tenant matters.

Mr. Love also handles theft of trade secret cases. Florida law protects trade secrets from unauthorized disclosure. The law defines a “trade secret” as information that derives independent economic value from not being generally known to other people and is the subject of efforts that are reasonable under the circumstances to maintain its secrecy. A customer list is entitled to trade secret protection only if the list is the product of great expense or effort, is a distillation of a larger list or includes information not available from public sources.

Mr. Love also handles covenants against competition. If properly drafted, a covenant against competition is enforceable in Florida and may preclude an employee from going to work for a rival enterprise. To be enforceable, the agreement must be reasonable in time and distance and protect a legitimate business interest.

Mr. Love also represents commercial entities and business owners facing claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices or other business torts.
